The acting career of Reese Witherspoon began to take off following her enrollment at Stanford University. The first time she was recognized for her work, it was with parts in movies like Pleasantville and Election but it was her portrayal of Elle Woods in the box office smash Legally Blonde that marked a turning point in her career. The role of Reese Witherspoon in Walk the Line earned her an Academy Award nomination in 2005. Water for Elephants, This Means War, and Wild are a few of her most recent films. Witherspoon was so inclined to quit acting her first year of high school that she contemplated making a move into medicine. She stayed out of college for a period of time in order to concentrate on acting. The year 2003 was the year she made The Invisible Man was her first feature film. Later, she starred in the television series House of Lies Whitney & Better Call Saul. Also, she appeared in The Dictator as well as The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. Alongside her acting work, she's an experienced painter who has exhibited her work in a number of galleries.
